I’m a lone wolf. For those that know me personally, this may be hard to believe because of how I am in groups (the pull of the pack), but those who really know me can attest to it. It gets to a point where I just need to take a break from everyone and everything . . . just be with and by myself in mind and space. Just breathe. And since I’m yet to go on that holiday I desperately need I took a day all to myself and had an Oshinity style Daycation. My speed version of Eat, Pray, Love only it was Breathe, Play, Glow.

Oshinity spa day

I went to the Kempinski Spa at Villa Rosa for my daycation and as a typical Pisces, a lot of my healing and calming comes from water so there had to be a lot of that involved. I really felt a lot of things that weighed me down slide right off during my spa treatments and by the time I got into the pool for a swim I really could have been anyone else, anywhere else. Yes, I had that level of relaxation that all my thoughts were just white noise somewhere in the background. The kind of zen I reckon people get when they meditate.

My daycation had to end at some point. I left the spa feeling quite wonderful and light. And guess what? The world I had shut out for a few hours there was still intact and operational when I got back to it 🙂 Another reminder that life goes on and it’s ok to put yourself first once in a while. Take care of you!

Ahhh I so get you! Only if you take care of YOU can you be the best version of yourself! As the air hostess says: put on your own oxygen mask first before helping anyone else! Daycations and me days rock!

Amin! You can’t give 100 unless you’re 100! I’ll admit, at some point, I was pretending I was in that fish tank pool in Zanzibar 🙂

Breath, Play, Glow! Wow. I love how you have your own touch to the “Eat, Pray, Love”. Personally I want to have my own version of Elizabeth Gilbert’s adventures… soon Inshaa Allah… for now it’sjust Medschool Medschool Medschool. I’m glad you had a good time. 🙂 🙂

Hahahah it was what I needed Tejal. To breathe, to play, to glow. I still feel so relaxed and unwound Alhamdulillah. Sometimes you’ve just gotta say enough and do something for you. Get a pedicure or just have a really loooooong hot shower and sleep early on a Sunday before school on Monday. It will make you feel that much better. And just think, one day soon Inshallah, you will be a successful doctor and the world will be yours for the taking when you need it. You’ll have your own version of Eat. Pray. Love. Amin!
