TIME OUT

DON’T SWEAT THE PETTY STUFF.

Life gets the better of us sometimes. The people and situations we have to deal with are never perfect and most of the time it feels like we’re always fighting for something or against something. Deadlines, backstabbing, rent, happiness etc. And it gets so tiring. So frustrating. So spending. Especially for someone like me who has very intense reactions.  Fada God, why? It’s overwhelming.

But I’m learning to pick my battles and not to take it all too seriously. Life is either way too short or way too long to spend in a bad mood or constant conflict. Not everything deserves my time or response. So now I just try to take it easy and decompress often. Do the things that make me feel good and light again. Do them often. Laugh more. Chill more. Love more. My Time Out sessions where I remind myself that there is so much more to life. From the little things like listening to my favourite happy song in the shower to set my mood for the day. To the big things like counting my blessings and recognizing all the good in my life. This Sunday, after a gruelling working weekend, I enjoyed a little Time Out blowing some beautiful bubbles out in the sun 🙂 It was so necessary. We all need these Time Outs. Some meditate, others paint or cook or even just cry. I know a lot of people who work it out at the gym. We all need the outlet. So take little Time Outs often to keep sane and out of jail lol.

XO
