Agnes Pure & Regal is the newest kid on the Kenyan block when it comes to skincare, and they are all about natural goodness. Their founder, Claire, launched their maiden product – Rose Galore (a rose water face mist) – a couple of months ago, and she’s working on bringing us more wonderful products to help our skin. I got to know a little more about Claire and her brand and wanted to share it here with you all below.

Claire – Founder of Agnes Pure & Regal
Oshin: What inspired you to start our very own skincare brand – Agnes Pure & Regal?
Claire: My obsession with all things skincare inspired me to start Agnes Pure & Regal, and I had always hoped to start a skincare line one day. I’ve always loved trying and testing new skincare products and I’m that weirdo that thoroughly enjoys reading/watching people’s skincare routines. One day I happened to stumble upon a video by the late Myles Munroe and he was talking about how grave sites are one of the richest places on earth filled with so many gifts, talents and dreams and I thought “I don’t want to die before exploring all or most of the things I’m deeply interested in”, and just like that I decided to go ahead and realize my idea and so Agnes P&R was born.
O: Why the name Agnes?
C: Agnes is my late sister’s name. Anytime I was with her I experienced pure love, and I hope to honour her with a brand that celebrates self-love and authenticity. The name Agnes is also derived from the Greek name ‘Hagne’ meaning ‘pure’ which relates to our ethos of clean beauty.
O: Why did you launch Rose Galore first?
C: Rosewater has always been my skincare holy grail since I discovered it – it’s just always worked. Since I couldn’t find pure rosewater in the market, I decided to make one in a mist form and put my own twist on it by adding other enriching, natural skincare ingredients.
O: Who are you hoping to help/what skin issues are you trying to address with the Rose Galore product?
C: Anyone chasing the glow! Rose Galore is filled with natural and organic active ingredients such as rose hydrosol, kombucha, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid which hydrate, rejuvenate and help the skin become radiant. Personally, I’m not a fan of the matte look, so anyone else who is into the dewy look like I am would appreciate the hydration and glow from the product. Rose Galore also helps to rebalance the pH of the skin pre-moisturizer.
O: What can we look forward to from Agnes P&R?
C: You can expect two additional products from Agnes P&R by the end of the year. My main aim for Agnes P&R is to create effective products that make people enjoy their skincare rituals more and take pleasure in knowing they’re using wholesome ingredients and taking care of themselves.
O: What other Kenyan skincare products do you use?
C: Currently I don’t use any other Kenyan skincare products but I have a few on my wish list from O’bao and Sheth Naturals.

So if you would like to enjoy all the amazing benefits of rose water from hydration, cleansing, toning, to anti-aging and soothing, do give the Agnes Pure & Regal Rose Galore face mist a go. It’s Kenyan-made, it’s 120 ml for KShs. 6,00 ($6.00), and it contains a host of other powerful and beneficial active ingredients that are great for skin. You can use it before and after makeup as well as to refresh your makeup/face throughout the day. As they say on the Agnes P&R website, Skin is King and Queen too so be good to it and give it a rosy boost.
xo

This is so good. I could definitely use some rose water after a long assed day in uni and the wards! I can already imagine myself using cotton pads soaked in rose water on my eyes to relax them.
I love rose water and Im so impressed by Agnes Pure and regal for creating a Kenyan brand with such great ingredients..this has been on my wish list for a while..
First of all I LOVE you Oshin. I todl you ever since I discovered you I’ve been an avid subbie and follower. Keep doing what you do coz you are inspiring a lot of us here and you have amazing tips and hacks for women keen on beauty and skin care!
Now, to rose water- I looooove rose water. like Claire, its my holy grail product. I use it as a primer(YES) , a toner, make up remover and even as a setting spray when I’m out of my usual ones (waaaay cheaper and also not made of chemicals like most settings sprays)
I also just love to carry some in a spray bottle and do a few spritz when I feel the heat has became too much esp lately. If it had health benefits God knows I’d drink it. J.k. I eager to try out this new Agnes P&R brand. Love the passion and story behind the product plus I’m always down to support on of ours! Xoxo.
